In addition to two hired out low-storage warehouses capable of holding 35,000 tons of heavy grain, we have eleven silo complexes that can hold a total of 220,000 tons, divided up into 550 cells with a capacity of between 60 and 3,000 tons.

The main focus of the services we provide is on the handling and warehousing of grain, oilseeds and green coffee, and on managing the consignment of these products. On the level of detail, this comprises the loading and unloading of sea-going vessels, inland waterway ships, coasters, rail cars, lorries and containers, the short-term, middle-term and long-term storage of the types of goods mentioned above, and the organisation of all the logistical processes associated with receipt and dispatch. If requested by the customer, this can include management of the goods’ passage through customs.

In addition, it goes without saying that all kinds of services connected with the goods entrusted to us form part of our scope of services. The services we offer extend from the quality checking of goods in our own laboratory, and gas treatment for the elimination of pests, right through to the cleaning, drying and cooling of grain and oilseeds.

In the summer months we operate as a harvest holding depot and of course, we have unrestricted authorisation from the Bundesanstalt für Landwirtschaft und Ernährung (BLE) [Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food] for the storage of intervention grain.

Our core business – the handling and storage of grain and oilseeds – is carried on with the help of highly effective technical facilities, and uses silo space that has a total capacity of 160,000 tons.

The handling and storage of green coffee in silo cells has formed part of our operations since 1994. In recent years our activities in this area have developed in such a way that they now constitute the second pillar of our company.
