Warehousing
Coffee handling activities are focussed
on five silos in the Rethe-Speicher operating unit, which
are exclusively used for coffee warehousing. So, a total
of 60,000 tons of our overall warehouse capacity is reserved
for the storage of green coffee.
In view of the traditional silo design,
green coffee is stored in conditions that are almost climatically
neutral. The coffee is kept in relatively small cells that
have a capacity of between 60 and 900 tons.
All cells are equipped with a temperature registration
device, and are subject to monitoring at all times.
